Chicago Diner has been a serving up tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes in Chicago’s Boystown and Logan Square neighborhoods for years and is an especially sought-after spot for weekend brunch or lunch.

Vegan shakes
When you get down to it, a milkshake is destined to be delicious, but Chicago Diner’s thick, creamy shakes are another beast entirely. The rich, vegan milkshakes, scooped by hand and blended to order, make for a truly delectable experience. The assortment of flavors includes strawberry, vanilla chai, carrot cake and cookie dough peanut butter, and each shake receives a generous amount of sweet whipped cream to top it off just right.

The reputation for Chicago Diner’s wings goes hand in hand with that of their shakes. These mouth-watering wings are made from the meat substitute, seitan, then breaded and slathered in either barbecue or spicy buffalo sauce — or you step it up a notch and order their zesty Thai chili wings. The strong, mouth-watering flavors won’t have you missing chicken at all.
