Join Untitled for spontaneous expressions of vintage-style New Year’s revelry with dolled-up burlesque and Charleston dancers to inspire the notion that it’s New Year’s Eve somewhere. The Jimmys, named the 2013 Blues Performer of the Year by the 2013 Madison Area Music Awards, will get the dance floor moving before Fanny Tastic, Lady Jack and the Galaxie Girls run the evening.
Untitled has teamed up with Angela Eve, acclaimed burlesque sensation whom originally created Metropolis Ball in 2010, to create this year’s elite, avant-garde New Year’s Eve experience. Together they have twisted an enchanting and interactive event with more than 20 sultry burlesque acts, nationwide headlining talent and live rockabilly music by Cash O’Riley and the Downright Daddies, multiple DJs playing throughout the night, plus passed hors d’oeuvres and open premium bars.
The fourth annual Metropolis Ball is based off of the 1927 science-fiction film, “Metropolis,” directed by Fritz Lang. Each unique room in Untitled will be transformed into a surreal, interactive set, representing futuristic elements from the film using art and videos by local artists. Throughout the evening, there will be a variety of entertainment and music rotating among the rooms, interweaved with roving performances.
The swankiest holiday outfits are encouraged, as Eve’s Parlor will be hosting a contest to find the most creatively dressed patrons. From futuristic pin-up vixens to edgier steam punk fashions, guests who arrive early can meet with the hairstylists from the Chicago Chop Shop to create their New Year’s Eve ‘do.
