THE QUESTION: If you can only visit one restaurant for the rest of the year, where are you going?

“Cafe Iberico for tapas. It’s one of my all-time favorites. I just got engaged and took my future wife there. I think we tried everything on the menu, especially the scallops and mojitos.”

— JONAH MARKOWITZ | HOMEWOOD SUITES

“Piccolo Sogno. It’s beautiful. Excellent service. Their ravioli, it’s like biting into a pillow. I’m a vegetarian, so I’m picky in general, but their Italian food are amazing. Bread and salad dressings too.”

— BLAIRE PEROFF | ENVISIONIT MEDIA

“Half Shell on Diversey in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. I love seafood, and my favorite there is the crab. You will get a belly full! Total hidden gem.”

— CASEY TONKIN | IN THE LOOP COMPUTER CONSULTING

“The Publican. They rotate their menu constantly, they focus on seafood and pork and they have an incredible beer selection. What more do you want?”

— GAURAV SHROFF | GM AT THE INN AT LINCOLN PARK

“El Mariachi on Broadway in Lakeview. Their enchalada suiza is to die for, they make the guacamole fresh right in front of you and the ambiance oozes with Mexican flare.

— PAUL ARMSTRONG | IN THE LOOP COMPUTER CONSULTING

“Prasino in Wicker Park. There’s such an interesting variety on the menu, and everything I tasted was spiced just right. It’s a very comfortable spot.”

— FRANCES KRUPKA

“I would do Texas de Brazil. Whatever you do, save yourself for the meat choices, which is tough to do with their salad bar. Save your hunger… it’s worth it.”

— STEVE SHAMOUN | HOMEWOOD SUITES

“The Publican. Whenever I have friends in town, I always recommend it. Their oysters and ambiance are professional grade.”
