Hidden amongst Southport’s endless row of boutiques is Bluemercury, a one-stop shop for makeup, skincare and spa treatments. The white walls and blue detailing is the perfect setup for the brightly lit cosmetic lines.

“It’s the perfect place to come pick up something if I’ve just run out,” says Sara Bonfiglio. “It saves me from having to go all the way down to the Loop or a department store.”blue-mercury-perfume-web

In the center of the room are popular high-end makeup brands, carrying your favorite concealers, foundations, primers, etc. You’ll also find a variety of beauty products, including St. Tropez tanning items, Bumble and Bumble hair goods and Clarisonic cleansing products.

Many people also stop by for brow touch-ups. Esthetician Fabiola Rojas, aka “the brow wizard,” helps guide customers toward the product that best fits their features. She has only one simple request for customers: “Don’t pluck at home.”

Bluemercury also features its own personal skincare cosmetics line, called M-61. The line includes eye serums, body butters, scrubs, masks, lip balms and more. The top seller is a vegan power glow peel. We gave it a try, and believe us, you’ll wake up with new skin.

“Bluemercury is luxury with a conscious,” says beauty consultant Alexis Layman.
