Ravinia - web2

The question: You have a free Saturday in July. How are you spending it?

Eric - web“Head to the lake with a group of friends. Plan a picnic and spend the afternoon having some cocktails and food and enjoying the beauty of the lakefront. Then go downtown or up to Ravinia and catch some kind of a show at night.”

— EriLou - webc Johnson

“It would definitely have to be spent at the lake, probably playing volleyball. A lot of people don’t realize we have a great beach in Chicago, but we have a fantastic beach here. And then whatever street festival is going on.”

Roxanne Harrell - web— Lou O’Donnell

“A farmer’s market in the morning, like the Green City Market in Lincoln Park, then an architectural tour and a Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert in Millennium Park in the evening. That would be my perfect Saturday in the city.”

— RoxanneSteven Harrell - web Harrell

“I would say taking our daughter to the Lincoln Park Zoo. She loves the lions, especially when they’re outside on the rocks. And we’re members at the Art Institute, so I’d definitely go there. The Ryan Educational Center in the Modern Wing is great for children too.”

Christy Stokke-web— Steven Harrell

“I would take a run or a walk on the lakefront path, then go to a farmer’s market, a street festival and dinner on a patio at a place like Stella Barra or Summerhouse in Lincoln Park. Drinks on the rooftop at J. Alexander afterward.”

— ChrisJason Ruthkosky - webty Stokke

I would definitely go to a Cubs game. The history and atmosphere at Wrigley … it’s like our city’s largest beer garden. And then dinner at Morton’s or Chicago Cut for their filet.”

Stephanie Krupka - web— Jason Ruthkisky

“Hit the Green City Market and Pilates in the Park in the morning, and then sit outside to eat and have drinks wherever I could, like Fountainhead in Lincoln Square.”

— Stephanie KLindsey Silver - webrupka

I am either at a Cubs game in Wrigley, shopping on North Avenue or sitting on the patio at Uncle Julio’s. Depending on the schedule, my two other favorites are going to Ravinia or Arlington Racecourse.”
