THE QUESTION: If you can only eat out once this spring, where are you going and what are you ordering?

“Hub 51 is my favorite restaurant, but for my favorite meal, it would have to be Sapori Trattoria. They have the best mushroom lasagna ever.”

— DANIELLE DANCEY | LONDO MONDO BOUTIQUE

“I’m a huge fan of Wishbone. I’m a big fan of their black bean cakes. Everything is casual and fun, and the meals are huge. They just do it right.”

— ADAM TAYLOR

“Zocalo or Cafe Iberico. Zocalo is a modern, upscale Mexican restaurant with creative drinks. I ordered the chile relleno, and I’m craving it again. They have three different kinds of guacamole for an appetizer too. Cafe Iberico’s red sangria is better than anywhere else. Their tapas are fantastic, and a crepe filled with vanilla ice cream and strawberries for dessert.”

— MEREDITH FRANCZYK

“I really like Spiaggia, but if I’m being more price conscious, I’d pick Perennial. The macaroni & cheese is the perfect balance between creamy and crunchy. I’ve tried the mac & cheese in probably every restaurant I’ve ever been in, and it’s the best at Perennial. And then I’d try whatever the specials are that night.”

— KATHRYN TORCHIA | LONDO MONDO BOUTIQUE

“Joe’s Stone Crab. Every time I get a craving for a fine-dining experience and seriously great seafood, my wife and I go there. It’s all about the crab legs.”

— MARK SCHWALENBERG

“The Gage on Michigan Avenue has a mint tea and Sunday brunch to die for. Don’t be scared by the prices. They’re a bit extravagant, but the portions are huge. Be prepared for a hearty meal.”

— BRAD | ARTS & ARTISANS

“I’m a vegetarian who eats fish, so one of my favorite spots is Sushi Wabi. I think their fire roll is amazing.”

— BROOKE BRESSEL | LONDO MONDO BOUTIQUE

“I’d go to Avec for tasty food, delicious wine and good company. The food is spot on. It’s small plates, so you can share with everyone at the table. They’re famous for bacon-wrapped, chorizo-stuffed dates. Same owners as the fancier Blackbird next door.”

— LIZ | ARTS & ARTISANS

“I’ll be going to RL to dine outside on their patio and order the Crab Louis. Juicy chunks of crab meat and avocado in a delicious dressing.”

— ROBERT BROOKS | HOLIDAY INN MART PLAZA CONCIERGE
